:Having a debate over which is best and why on our local forum. Debate was getting very heated and not much usefull info coming out IMO. I found a post with back to back testing from Z1 of 5 intercoolers including a front mount showing no benefit over the Z1 sidemount intercoolers. Plus there are many other problems associated with a front mount. :The response from the other side of the camp, a chap that runs unique auto sports over here says that a front mount is good for 10-20kw (13-26hp) over a sidemount on stock turbos, and that you absolutely must have a frontmount with high horsepower or if you track your car. :Would like to get more opinions on the issue. :You can see the scrap fight on our local forum here: La-Z-Link :Ignore the bitching, but I would like to hear some fresh opinions on both sides.
Dual side mounted units are always better. The stupid FMIC started as a trend and suddenly everyone had to have a pimped out, in your face, I'm not rice but i am, look at me i have a modded car syndrome. Side mounted units are better bar none. Argue all you want, anyone that has a FMIC or sells them will tell you they rock and are better but they're wrong IMO.
